Employee Amputates Finger in Molding Machine

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 12, 2011, Employee #1 was using a flashlight to check for mismatched numbers on mold blanks. Employee #1 tripped on floor piping and, in an attempt to stabilize himself, placed his left hand inside the clamshell mold. The mold closed on Employee #1's left hand and he sustained an amputation to his ring finger. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
