Employee Suffers Leg Fractures When Struck by Forklift

At approximately 4:50 a.m. on November 12, 2010, Employee #1, of Manuel E Vieira, Incorporated, was inside plant Number 2 and walked to the time clock to punch in. Employee #1 was struck by a forklift that was backing up to set up a bin of sweet potatoes for the packers to start their shift. Employee #1 was hospitalized and treated for injuries he sustained to his left foot and leg.
