Employee Falls Through Skylight and Later Dies

At approximately 9:00 a.m. on December 2, 2010, Employee #1, a specialist soldier, and a coworker, also a soldier, were putting a tarp on a leaky roof of an armory. The tarp was to prevent water from leaking through a glass skylight and falling onto the drill area below. As they worked, Employee #1 lost his footing and fell through the glass skylight. He fell about 60 ft and sustained traumatic and unspecified injuries. Employee #1 was transported to a medical center, but died at the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
