Employee Crushes Hand in Pallet Truck Accident

On February 16, 2014, Employee #1 was operating a stand up pallet truck picking orders from the storage racks. He was driving the pallet truck down an aisle in the wrong direction and came to the end of the aisle to make a right hand turn to enter the adjacent aisle. While entering the aisle, the right side of the pallet truck collided with the metal storage rack, crushing his hand in between the control handle and the rack. Employee #1 was taken to LAC USC where he was hospitalized and received surgery for crushing injuries to his right hand.
