Employee Falls from Walkway Into Empty Pool, Receives Injuri

At approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 1, 2010, Employee #1, a roofer and helper, was throwing an electrical extension cord over the roof of a one-story single family residence, while standing on a 6 ft wide concrete surface walkway between an empty swimming pool and the building. As he threw the electrical cord, he lost his balance and fell approximately 8.33 ft into the empty swimming pool. He sustained serious and unspecified injuries that included fractures. Emergency medical personnel were summoned. They arrived and transported him to a medical center where he was hospitalized and received medical attention over nine days.
