Investigation Summary
On July 25, 2010, Employee #1 and the owner of Sheridan Creek Equestrian Center, Incorporated, were removing two stall panels measuring 13 ft 10 in. long by 7 ft 6 in. high, with an approximate combined weight between 800 to 1,200 lbs. The stall panels were lifted with a fork attachment by a skid steer Bobcat. A 23 ft long steel chain sling was used by Employee #1 to rig the stall panels to the fork attachment of the Bobcat. The load slipped forward, pinning him between the panels and the flatbed trailer. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment of unspecified injuries.
