Employee Injures Back When Falling Off Ladder

On September 19, 2012, Employee #1 was standing on the fourth rung from the top of his agriculture ladder while pruning a tree. The pole leg partially kicked out and Employee #1 fell approximately 7 feet landing on the ladder below. Coworkers contacted emergency medical services and he was admitted to a local hospital where he underwent back surgery to repair his damaged vertebrae.
