Employee Is Injured by Conveyor

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on August 7, 2010, Employee #1, who was employed by a recycling facility, was clearing cans from under a conveyor system. Employee #1 removed the conveyor guard to clear cans using a broom, when he tripped and fell into the conveyor. He was seriously injured and transported by ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Employee #1was hospitalized and treated for a compound fracture of an unspecified body part for approximately one week.
