Investigation Summary
Employee #1 and a coworker were working at the rear of the house installing wood blocking around the edge of the eaves for the installation of siding. Employee #1 was using a board that was sitting on one of the rungs of a six foot fiberglass step ladder and the other end was sitting on above the wooden decking. Neither ends of the board was secured to prevent it from being displaced. Employee #1 was moving down the board and misstepped toward the edge of the elevated porch that was 14 ft above the ground. Employee #1 lost his balance and fell to the ground resulting in his death.
