Employee Fractures Leg When Pinned by Fallen Joists

On October 1, 2010, Employee #1 was operating an industrial truck to transport a bundle of metal joists. The load was not appropriately braced and shifted during transport, causing the metal joists to slide from the forks of the forklift and pin Employee #1's right thigh. Employee #1 was taken to a nearby medical facility, where he was hospitalized and treated for a fractured right leg.
