Employee Collapses and Later Dies

At approximately, 8:00 a.m. on August 2, 2010, Employee #1 and coworkers started to stevedoring operations, (i.e., unhooking steel rebars from a vessel based crane). Employee #1 and a coworker were working with the same crane, next to each other. There were two coolers with water and gatorade available, and the employee took 4-5 minutes breaks between each load and sat down to have water. At approximately 5:00 p.m., the employee was picking up debris from the dock area, and while doing that he went to drink water. Employee #1 collapsed and later died.
