Employee Dies from Health Issues after Surgery

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on July 13, 2012, Employee #1 was working as a Building Service Aid (cleaner) in one of the legislative offices (room 629) at the Empire State plaza. While walking and dusting, she fell and a chair landed on her leg causing it to fracture. The fire department and state police were called and she was transported to St Peter's Hospital of Albany. While being prepared for surgery, Employee #1 encountered health issues and passed away.
