Employees Finger Is Amputated While Falling Out of Excavator

On September 6, 2009, Employee #1 was attempting to exit an excavator through the side entrance and his foot was caught in the foot pedals. As he started to fall, he attempted to gain his balance by grasping onto something. He fell to the ground and his left finger was torn off. Employee #1 was hospitalized with an amputated finger.
