Employee Is Electrocuted and Killed by Ground Powerline

On July 8, 2009, Employee #1, owner of a tree service, was cutting tree limbs approximately 25 feet above the ground. He was electrocuted as the limb that he was cutting came into contact with a 14,400-volt phase to ground powerline. Employee #1 was killed.
