Finger Amputation with a metal saw machine

On February 12, 2010, Employee #1, an employee of Master Kraft Machining, suffered a finger amputation while making an adjustment on a metal saw machine. Employee #1 was holding the stationary plate with his left hand and the right hand was holding the machine control. When Employee #1 turned the control knob, the front vise moved forward and his two left fingers were caught in between the plate and front vise resulting in an amputation. Employee #1 was taken by paramedics to Washington Hospital for treatment of his injury.
