Investigation Summary

Investigation Nr: 202599569
Event: 09/25/2009
Employee Injured in Fall from Debris Trailer

A carpenter was working on renovations of a two-story, four-unit apartment complex. He was using snips to cut lathe from stucco. Elsewhere, coworkers were loading buckets with material and transporting them to a debris trailer. The carpenter walked up the ramp and into the debris trailer with snips in his hand. He fell from atop the debris material or from the top of the trailer approximately 2 meters onto a metal-grated tongue. He then rolled and fell another 1.5 meters onto a concrete surface. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
