Investigation Summary
On January 19, Employee #1 was working at the front gate of the amusement park greeting guest as they enter and while speaking with a guest he suddenly fell backwards and struck his head on the ground. Employee #1 began to bleed from the back of his head and from his ears. Emergency medical services arrived soon after and transported Employee #1 to UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA where he was admitted for treatment. Employee #1 's health slowly degenerated while in the hospital and he expired on February 2, 2011. The Division determined that Employee #1 's death was not caused by workplace conditions.
