Employee Is Injured in Fall from Ladder

On October 19, 2010, Employee #1, a roofer, was working as a full time, noncontracted employee assigned as a roofer for a roofing contractor. Employee #1 was installing flashing using a ten foot ladder. As he installed the flashing, the ladder began to move sideways. Employee #1 jumped off the ladder, striking his head on a nearby wall and suffering a lumbar fracture when he struck the ground. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment of his injuries. .
