Employee Suffers Brain Hemmorrhage in Fall from Scaffold

On March 3, 2010, Employee #1 was working on a rolling scaffold at an approximately height of six to seven feet. Employee #1 was being moved to a new position while on the scaffold. The scaffold struck an overhead pipe, causing Employee #1 to lose his balance, fall, and strike the concrete with his shoulder and head. Employee #1 suffered a right frontal epidural hematoma over the right temporal lobe. The accident was reported to the Division by the employer on March 3, 2010. The employer was a general contractor whose employees were conducting fire retardant spraying of overhead beam during a commercial building renovation.
