Fullerton Worker Is Struck by Tree Limb, Fractures Leg

On April 09, 2010, Employee #1, a maintenance worker for the City of Fullerton, CA, was on a crew trimming trees. Employee #1 was piecing out a dead eucalyptus, and he was cutting through a branch approximately 8 to 10 in. in diameter. The branch kicked back, fell, and struck Employee #1 in the left leg, causing serious injuries, including a fracture. He was hospitalized. The immediate supervisor was not on site at the time.
