Employee Is Picked Up by Excavtor Bucket and Is Killed

On May 6, 2009, Employee #1 was picking foreign material from wood piles before and after they would go to the grinder. An excavator operator dropped a load of raw material into the horizon and a piece of wood struck the employee in the head. The employee fell to the ground and was picked up by the excavator bucket along with the raw material. He was compressed with the material in the bucket and the pile of raw material. Employee #1 was killed.
