Worker Breaks Leg in Fall from Ladder

On April 15, 2009, Employee #1, of Duty Built Construction, was reroofing a 7 in 12 pitch roof. He was carrying material up a 32 foot aluminum extension ladder and lost his balance when stepping off the ladder onto the roof. Employee #1 fell 9 feet to the wood deck and suffered a broken left leg and lacerations to his head. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
