One Employee Crushed, One Employee Injures Leg in Collapse

On April 26, 2011, a demolition company was demolishing a seven-level structure. The level scheduled for demolition that day was level number two. The company had already removed ten feet from the north end of level two. The company began to remove the next section of level two. Employee #1 and Employee #2 were assigned the task of retrieving two five-gallon containers of diesel located below level two. Level two collapsed, crushing and killing Employee #1. Employee #2's leg was injured in the collapse.
