Employee Dies in Tree Trimming Accident

Employee #1 and a coworker were engaged in tree trimming operations at a residence. Employee #1 was operating a bucket truck from the ground, using the winch to pull logs and debris up a hill. The coworker was at the bottom of the hill gathering debris together with choker ropes. The coworker yelled up to Employee #1 that he needed more ropes. Employee #1 climbed onto the back of the bucket truck to retrieve the extra ropes. The coworker heard Employee #1 yell, and witnessed him fall to the ground. Emergency crews transferred Employee #1 to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
