Investigation Summary
On May 2, 2009, Employee #1 was working as a care provider for three, intellectually disabled women in a residential home. The employee and the women were watching a movie on television, and the employee began to feel bad. The employee dialed "911" and requested an ambulance be sent to the residence. The employee was standing on the front porch, when the ambulance arrived at the scene. The employee was in respiratory distress, when the ambulance arrived. The paramedics helped her walk to the ambulance and transported her to the local hospital. Employee #1 was pronounced dead at the hospital.
