Employee Lacerates Hand While Using Router

Employee #1 was operating a Northfield Magnum door processing machine. Employee #1 had just finished a pass-over door and brought it up and locked the router carriage in place. Suddenly the router carriage started to fall back down on the door. Employee #1reached out to stop the carriage from falling and got his right hand caught under the router carriage as it fell. Employee #1 sustained severe lacerations and was transported to a local medical clinic, where he received several stitches to his right ring and index fingers. Employee #1 was not hospitalized.
