Employee Crushes Arm While Inspecting Conveyor

On April 2, 2009, Employee #1 was inspecting a conveyer system as part of a periodic maintenance inspection. Employee #1 was inspecting the conveyer at the belt return end of the conveyor with the system operational. Employee #1's left hand was caught by the rotating roll and moving rubber belt and pulled in, up to the shoulder. Employee #1's arm was crushed as it went into the supporting strut. Employee #1 suffered a fracture and was hospitalized.
