Employee Fractures Hip in Trip and Fall Incident

At about 9:45 a.m. on October 30, 2009, Employee #1 was walking out of the Wraps to Go, holding cookie trays with her arms, and could not see her feet. Employee #1 had a yellow plastic laundry band around one foot that caused her to trip and fall through the open entry door. Employee #1 suffered a fractured hip as a result of the incident and was taken to the California Pacific Medical Center at Davies Campus. The Medical Center kept her there on crutches from Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was determined that there was no Title 8 standard or rule violated as a result of this industrial accident.
