Employee Gets Arm Lacerations from Saw

On March 18, 2011, Employee #1 sustained laceration of his left biceps area. He was immediately taken to Scripps Hospital, La Jolla for treatment. Employee #1 was cutting a 1 ft. by 12 ft. by 1 in. thick wooden shelf of an existing closet at the site. Employee #1 was using a circular saw with a 7 1/4 inch metal blade. Employee #1 sustained deep cut on his left biceps and was treated overnight at the hospital and released the next day.
