Employee Fractures Wrist in Fall from Roof

On November 24, 2008, Employees #1 and #2 were on a "6 inch in 12inch" porch roof, 14 feet above compacted ground. Employee #1 was holding a ladder for Employee #2, who was painting the fascia below the main roof. When the ladder started to slide off the roof, Employee #2 jumped to the roof level. Employee #1 fell 14 feet to the compacted ground. He was hospitalized after fracturing his wrist and bruising his hip.
