At approximately 10:30 a.m. on July 23, 2010, Employee #1 was assigned the task of slicing frozen salmon rolls, into smaller pieces. Employee #1 was using a Biro band saw meat cutter, when his hand became too close the cutting blade and sustained an amputation to his left fifth finger.
