Worker Pinches Thumb in Forklift Chain

At approximately 12:45 p.m. on October 5, 2009, Employee #1 was working as a general laborer at a food distribution center. He had worked for the company as a general laborer for about eight years. As he was lifting a chain that had gotten loose from a forklift and was coming off a pulley, his right thumb was pinched under the chain. He sustained a laceration. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released after four days of hospitalization.
