Employee Is Killed When Struck by Motor Vehicle

At approximately 6:15 a.m. on October 18, 2009, Employee #1 was a member of an eight man crew painting lane markings on a roadway. Employee #1 and two coworkers were measuring and marking the roadway for the various markings to be painted at an intersection. A vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed drove past the last warning vehicle, veered into the opposing lane, and struck Employee #1. The vehicle then veered back into the original lane and left the scene. Employee #1 was killed.
