Employee Suffers Deep Vein Thrombosis

On September 4, 2010, Employee #1 was working at a conveyor that brought chickens into the plant. He leaned on a bar that activated the conveyor. It took approximately 5.5 lbs of force to move the bar. Employee #1 worked at that station for approximately two hours per day. Employee #1 was hospitalized for a deep vein thrombosis that was not due to the work environment.
