On April 1, 2010, Employee #1, a milker, had just finished pushing milk cows from one pen into another. Employee #1 turned to look to make sure he'd gotten all the cows when he caught something move out the corner of his eye. As Employee #1 turned to look, it was one of the two bulls charging him. Employee #1 did not have time to get out of the way and was struck and run over by the bull. Employee #1 sustained a lacerated liver and broken ribs. Prior to this night, Employee #1 had been in the pen with both bulls every night for the last two years and neither had ever shown any sign of aggression.
