Employee's Finger Is Amputated When Struck by Falling Pallet

At approximately 6:50 p.m. on October 22, 2009, Employee #1 was using an electric pallet jack to load a trailer with wooden pallets that were apparently stacked to a height of approximately 7 feet. The top pallet fell, as it struck the side of the trailer. The pallet hit Employee #1's left hand and caused Employee #1's middle finger tip to be amputated.
