Employee's Hand Is Injured When Caught by Pulley

On October 23, 2008, Employee #1, a maintenance mechanic, was preparing to repair a torn conveyor belt. While pointing to a pulley, the torn portion of the belt rotated around the tail pulley, struck his left hand, and pulled it into the pinch point between the tail pulley and tensioner pulley. Employee #1 was hospitalized for a fractured arm.
