Employee's Finger Is Caught Between Bins and Is Amputated

On November 7, 2008, Employee #1 was using a forklift to move some material bins. The employee accidently hit the wrong lever and tipped over the load of bins. He started to physically move the bins. As the bins shifted, his left middle finger became pinched between two of the bins. The employee sustained a partial amputation that was successfully reattached. Employee #1 was hospitalized.
