Investigation Summary
At approximately 2:00 p.m. on June 2, 2010, Employee #1 was maintaining landscape at a senior apartment community. Employee #1 was standing on a block wall, using a hedge trimmer to cut bushes against a building at a height of seven feet. Employee #1 lost his balance, tried to grab onto the bush, but instead grabbed the hedge trimmer blade and fell, landing on his feet. A coworker called the supervisor, who took Employee #1 to the Hospital. Employee #1 sustained complex lacerations to his right index finger and thumb.
