Investigation Summary
On February 2, 2009, Employee #1, a laborer of D.N.A. Construction, was cutting a wooden beam. He used a 10 foot aluminum ladder and a sawzall. While cutting the beam the saw either hit a nail or got stuck in the wood causing the saw to jolt backwards. Employee #1 fell from the ladder 7 feet to the concrete floor landing on the right side of his head. He was hospitalized and treated for fractured right wrist and hand.
