Investigation Summary
On September 12, 2008, Employee #1 was told by his supervisor to cut fly portable tables needed for a camper being built. Employee #1 was cutting the second fly portable table with a router along the edge when it struck a knot or nail in the wood and jumped. Employee # 1's right hand fingers went under the router and the blade cut the right thumb and second finger. Employee #1 called the supervisor to tell him he had cut a finger. Employee #1's coworkers came to his assistance and then they took him to the hospital. Employee #1 suffered the amputation of the second finger of his right hand and was hospitalized for one day. .
