Investigation Summary
On July 11, 2008, Employee #1 was cleaning the roll press on a GED Series Number 3550 Oven/Roll Press. After removing the entry guard, Employee #1 began wiping down the rollers, to remove residue buildup. His left hand was caught between two rollers, and he was pulled into the roll press. Employee #1 was hospitalized for treatment of unspecified injuries. Six employees operate and/or support operations on the oven/roll press, but all employees were away at the time that Employee #1 was cleaning the machine.
