Employee Is Killed When Caught Between Truck and Dock

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on January 29, 2010, Employee #1, a dock manager, was working at a fresh fruit and vegetable wholesaler. He and a coworker arrived at work at 5:00 a.m. Employee #1 became trapped between a loaded, 26,000-lb GVW truck and the dock. He sustained internal injuries. Employee #1 was rescued approximately 30 minutes later and was transported to a nearby hospital. He died at approximately 2:30 p.m. the same day.
