Employee Is Injured by Vehicle in Service Station

On October 6, 2008, an employee of the service station was directing a customer into the shop when it appears the customer hit the gas pedal and the vehicle came off the lift, pinning the employee between the vehicle and the employee's tool boxes. The employee sustained severe damage to his legs. The employer had a policy stated by all concerned that no customers are to operate vehicles in the shop area. This was corroborated by the shop foreman. The employee was hospitalized and treated for bruises on legs.
