Employee Dies from Possible Histoplasmosis, Not Work Related

In January, 2008 Employee #1 became ill and missed two weeks of work. Employee #1 did come back to work on and off again for approximately the next month and a half. On February 21, 2008, after seeing his personal physician Employee #1 was sent by his physician to the hospital. At the hospital Employee #1 was under the care of a Physician. There was a suspicion was that the employee might have contracted histo-plasmosis from some demolition that happen at the job site. Upon investigation, there was a demolition, but it was across the street from where Employee #1 was working. On March 9, 2008 Employee #1 died. The attending Physician stated that histo-plasmosis was never proven, and that the lung injury remained unknown and was not determined to be work related.
