Investigation Summary
On January 4, 2009, Employee #1 was working as general farm labor cutting irises in the greenhouse of a flower farm. Employee #1 picked up a curtain in the greenhouse when a spider jumped onto his face and bit him in the lip. That day it did not bother Employee #1, but the next day he told his team leader who contacted a foreman. The employer took Employee #1 to the clinic for outpatient examination. On January 6, 2009, Employee #1 had a swollen lip and went to the clinic again. Employee #1 was hospitalized for seven days.
