Employee dislocates shoulder in fall From Scaffold

At approximately 11:40 a.m., on May 15, 2008, the employer was a stucco contractor performing work at a new residential development, primarily 2-story structures. Employee #1 was working on the first level of scaffolding floating and washing. The accident occurred when he backed up on the work platform losing his footing off of the plank and fell under the railing hitting the ground approximately 5.5 ft. Employee #1 was taken by ambulance to Woodland Healthcare in Woodland CA where he was treated and released for a dislocated right shoulder. The statements from Employee #1 and employer, and employer pictures from the time of the accident, reveal that the scaffolding was fully planked and guardrails were in place.
