Employee Falls Through Skylight, Later Dies

Employee #1 and a coworker were working on top of the roof of a warehouse patching holes in the roof and the skylights. The employees were walking across the roof to retrieve patching compound. Employee #1 stepped on a fiberglass skylight panel and fell through it approximately 30 ft to the concrete floor of the building. Employee #1 was initially conscious, but stopped breathing after being placed in the ambulance. Employee #1 was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.
