Investigation Summary
On July 3, 2008, Employee #1 was working as an over the road driver with Neal Trucking. At approximately 2:15 a.m., he attempted to close the lids on the top of his bulk powder pneumatic semi-trailer when he fell approximately 12 feet and six inches from the top of the trailer to the ground. After falling, the victim got back into his truck and drove the truck across the scales and down to the plant guard house where he was stopped by the guard/scale house attendant. The scale house attendant called E.M.S. and the victim was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The fall fractured the victim's skull and the victim has no memory of any events leading up to the accident. There were no witnesses to the fall.
