Employee Is Injured When Struck by Motor Vehicle

On February 15, 2008, Employee #1 was taking pictures of a job site from across a street. As he began walking towards the job site, crossing the street, he was struck by a motor vehicle. Employee #1 was taken to a nearby medical facility, where he was hospitalized and treated for multiple fractures. The accident investigation revealed that part of the road was closed for work; however, there were no flaggers or other means of warning to passing vehicles.
